New highly sensitive wall-mounted PM1710C gamma and PM1710GNC gamma-neutron monitors designed for protection of buildings against radiation are now available. These instruments evolved from widely recognized PM1710/PM1710GN. These new instruments achieve sensitivity comparable to the sensitivity of larger and more expensive portal monitors due to a large CsI(Tl) gamma radiation detector and a He-3 neutron detector. The wall-mounted PM1710C/PM1710GNC monitors can be easily integrated into a local network. It allows the user to display the monitors’ readings on the PC screen and be immediately alerted in case of a radiation alarm.
