20 May 2011Polimaster introduces new generation of devices

Polimaster launches new families of devices – PM1704 and PM1403, which are designed for use by first responders and security services, law enforcement structures, custom and border control, to ensure radiation safety in public places.

Multipurpose radiation monitor PM1403 – portative mobile laboratory, which combines features of Personal Radiation Detector, Dosimeter/radiometer and radionuclide identifier with fast and reliable identification of radioisotopes. The device has built-in highly sensitive CsI(Tl) spectroscopic detector for gamma radiation and additionally has four interchangeable external detectors for alpha, beta, gamma and neutron radiation. The results of measurement and identification are shown on a bright, easily read color LCD display. PM1403 has wireless data transfer channels and can be integrated into the Polimaster Nuclear Protection Network (Polimaster NPNET™).

Spectroscopic Personal Radiation Detectors РМ1704/М/GN - the new class of small (pocket-size) pager-style gamma and gamma-neutron spectroscopic personal radiation detectors combines the functionality of radiation detectors (detection and localization of radiation sources and primary radionuclide identification) and dosimeters (measurement of dose rate and count rate). The distinctive feature of this class of devices is the autonomous primary radionuclide identification of radioactive sources that does not require a connection to a remote unit (PC/laptop/PDA, etc.), even in the presence of shields, containers or other forms of physical protection of radiation sources that have a weakening and scattering influence.

Polimaster starts to accept applications for the manufacture of these devices.
